Your customers want to know that the products they buy from you are safe and reliable. They look for commitments to quality like the UL Recognition Mark.

That’s why it is important that you get your parts from a supplier who also offers the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Recognition Mark. You can be confident when you buy from Pleasant Precision. Your components will meet the standards both you and your customers are looking for when you buy.

We are pleased to be an approved “UL Certified Parts Fabricator.” This confirms our high standards for material management, processing, and final quality. An endorsement by UL allows us to offer our quality products in new fields. We're excited that we can now serve the appliance and medical device industries.

Here’s what you and I both know… It can be tricky to control costs while maintaining quality, safety and reliability. You don’t have time or money for quality errors caused by inferior materials. This can lead to cost overruns that damage your bottom line. And who enjoys those tense moments with customers when entire lots don't measure up?

Pleasant Precision has taken steps to help you avoid these problems. Our QMMY2 UL Certification is a standard you can trust.  It ensures that you get accurate confirmation of all the materials you buy from us.

What Is The QMMY2 UL Certification?

UL Certification carries a high level of authority. Underwriter Laboratories has been operating for over 100 years and has gained a worldwide reputation. They have written most current industry safety standards, which are used as benchmarks even by independent labs. Obtaining a UL certification is difficult because of their rigorous and comprehensive testing processes.

Under the QMMY2 program, the molder or fabricator (Pleasant Precision) is required to keep adequate records that trace identified material - from receipt through storage, inventory withdrawal, molding, finishing, packaging and shipping.

Knowing the identity and quality of your materials is critical. The quality and performance of plastic products can only be as good as the quality of the materials used to manufacture them.

This traceability program ensures that you get the component specification you expect.  Components continue to meet UL specifications, even when molders or fabricators use additives, regrinds or recycled plastics. You can be certain that you know what you are getting, and that it conforms to UL standards.

In the end, this helps you because it reduces the need for follow-up testing of the parts. This is because the records we keep track the raw materials. Then they are packaged and shipped to you with traceable UL Markings. You manage your risk with much less effort when you work with us, backed up by the UL QMMY2 Program.

BOTTOM LINE:  You get safer products to market. And you have confidence that you have met all necessary sourcing requirements.

PPI’s rating by Underwriter Laboratories (UL) as a ‘”Certified Parts Fabricator” allows us to offer better solutions for our customers. We apply science and expertise to enable responsible design, production and marketing. This creates solutions that are innovative, and work for today and tomorrow.
